Love Aaj Kal: Dichotomy of love

I personally like this movie very much! As like all Imtiaz Ali movies, there is strong current, that flows behind what we see on screen.
Meera and Jay, they just don't want be like other couples, they distance themselves and play hide and seek but never realize, they were actually started coming closer with each such effort.. eventually love finds a way!
This was great effort by Imtiaz Ali to convey that though time keeps changing, love never changes! Loved the way he portrayed his philosophy through beautiful songs, mentions of Laila-Majnu, Heer-Ranza through their conversations and love story of gusty Veer Singh!
There are some dots, Imtiaz has connected beautifully like that 'Heer-Ranza, Laila Majnu' monologue Jay speaks at start and end of movie in contrasting circumstances, that is sheer genius of Writer Imtiaz! He conncts two completely different but yet very similar characters in different era through Jay and Veer Singh, their path runs very similar way!
Meera is very relatable and beautifully presented by Deepika.. each time when she is partimg away from Jay, she realizes that something that is very dear to her is leaving her, but her practical and professional self takes over and she goes on.. finally after achieving everything that once was their dream, that hollow reamins, gets bigger.. and they realize that is nothing but love!
Each time I watch this movie this line strikes me.. 'Jane se pehle aakhri bar milna jaruri kyon hota hai?'.. that is deep!
And then Ishard Kamil puts in gem like below
'Kabhi hua ye bhi, khali rahon pe bhi
Tu tha mere saath..
Kabhi tujhe mil ke lauta mera dil
Khali khali haath..
Yeh bhi hua kabhi, jaise hua abhi
Tujh ko sabhi ne paa liya..'
That just make me speechless!

Kudos to Deepika for giving us unforgettable Meera :) and Imtiaz for giving beautiful, philosophical yet entertaining movie!
